The HPerformance RACE series intercooler for the RS3 TTRS DAZ DNW CZG is a massive upgrade over the standard intercooler. It offers a 179% larger charge air volume, 99% more flow surface and a "bar and plate" network that can handle and cool power outputs of up to 1200 hp. To further improve back pressure and efficiency, the intercooler has a 76mm 3 inch inlet and 80mm 3.14 inch outlet. On the outlet side, the cooler can also be combined with our 80mm 3.14 inch boost pipe and throttle body bend to further increase its efficiency. The development of this radiator was carried out on our 1/4 mile vehicles, which are fueled with alcohol and continuously produce 1000hp and more. Based on this series of tests, results and ongoing development, this product has been created, which we are now offering for sale.
Compared to the SPORT series, the RACE series is primarily intended for vehicles whose power output is consistently above 800hp. The design is uncompromisingly geared towards cooling performance. It is not just the size, but rather the nature and structure of the bar and plate network that enables the enormous cooling capacity.
On the standard vehicle, our intercooler already leads to a performance increase of up to 25PS and 60NM (reproducible), even after several test runs on vehicles with over 1000PS, the intercooler is unimpressed and still manages to achieve the same performance even after several test bench runs.
