Product description:
The HPerformance Sport Series intercooler for the RS3/TTRS/RSQ3 DAZ DNW CZG is a massive upgrade over the standard intercooler. It offers a 125% larger charge air volume, 81% more flow surface and a "bar and plate" network that can reliably cool power outputs of up to 850 hp. As a result, the cooling capacity of the HPerformance intercooler exceeds that of the standard intercooler many times over. The standard intercooler allows a measurement on the test bench in fourth gear and heats up by an average of 20°C from the start to the end of the test run. As early as the second measurement, the power output drops by more than 10 hp as a result of the increase in intake air temperature, which quickly exceeds 45°C and leads to the control unit entering the riching or component protection mode. As a result, the mixture becomes extremely rich, fuel consumption increases immensely and performance drops at the same time.
Not so with the HPerformance SPORT SERIES intercooler!
On the standard vehicle, our intercooler already leads to a performance increase of up to 25PS and 60NM (reproducible), even after several measurement runs, the power to be measured is constantly above 400PS and the temperature at the end of a run is still below that at the start.
In order to better assess the enormous potential of the cooler, we compared it directly with a GARRETT 900 intercooler. Our Sport Series intercooler was able to show its full potential. Even after 5 runs on the test bench, the output temperature (after acceleration) was still below the input temperature (before the measurement). We were able to demonstrate this effect even more clearly on the road. The measurement results can be seen in the pictures.
The intercooler is suitable for all performance levels and can be used both on the standard vehicle and on a vehicle with significantly increased performance.
Its total weight including the impact beam is just 16.9 kg. It also offers the option of being combined with our 80mm / 3.14 inch charge pipe / throttle body unit. Efficiency can also be further improved with the optional air duct.
No parts need to be cut to install the radiator, but the plastic covers and corresponding foam pads must be unscrewed.
Important:
The Audi TTRS 8S requires reworking measures on the plastic support of the radiator core! Please always have work on vehicles carried out by trained specialists. Bumpers on modern vehicles have various sensors and controls which can lead to problems if handled incorrectly. We do not provide any guarantee / warranty / advice for improper installations.
