Das StraightGate40 von Turbosmart ist das kleinste externe Wastegate im Butterfly-Stil für beengte Motorräume und Einbausituationen. Das StraightGate40 ist ein Wastegate im Butterfly-Stil ohne Versatz, das einen enormen Durchfluss und eine nahezu lineare Steuerung mit beispielloser Ladedruckregelung über den gesamten Betriebsbereich ermöglicht.
Das boostbasierte pneumatische StraightGate40 basiert auf dem mehrfach ausgezeichneten eSG50, ist jedoch kleiner und vereinfacht die Steuerung durch einen herkömmlichen boostbasierten Aktuator. Dank der Selbstausgleichsfunktion des StraightGate kann ein enormes Einstellungsfenster von mehr als dem Fünffachen des Basis-Federdrucks erreicht werden! Das StraightGate50 ist mit 6-psi-Federn für den GenV-Aktuator mit Einzel- und Doppelanschlusssteuerung vorinstalliert, einfach zu bedienen und bietet eine hervorragende Leistung, Durchflussrate und zahlreiche Funktionen!
Das Turbosmart StraightGate40 wurde von Grund auf neu entwickelt und intern validiert, um ein neues Maß an Steuerung und Durchfluss zu erreichen, das es bisher bei Wastegates noch nicht gab. Die Null-Offset-Drosselklappe wird auf beiden Hälften der Klappe gleichmäßig dem Abgasdruck ausgesetzt, wodurch sie sich zentral dreht und zu einer selbstausgleichenden Klappe gegenüber jedem Antriebsdruck wird. Diese Selbstausgleichung bedeutet, dass selbst bei höchsten Antriebsdrücken weniger Arbeit erforderlich ist und ein größerer Einstellungsbereich möglich ist, unabhängig davon, wie das Ventil betätigt wird. Der erhöhte Durchfluss wird durch die Effizienz eines Durchgangsventils im Vergleich zu einem Tellerventil erreicht, bei dem das Abgas durch das Ventil um 90 Grad gedreht werden muss.
