Product Description:
The HPerformance 3.5" (90 mm) retrofit downpipe replaces the original downpipe and was specifically designed to enable the use of the new generation of turbochargers in older 2.5 TFSI models. It provides the technical foundation for converting to the current DAZA turbocharger as well as to more powerful upgrade turbos such as the X6, X8, etc., including in the CZGB engine.

The new turbochargers are based on a modernized turbocharger architecture featuring highly efficient slide bearing systems, optimized exhaust gas flow, and improved thermal design. Compared to earlier generations of turbochargers, they are distinguished by:

  • higher efficiency

  • faster response

  • lower exhaust temperatures

  • significantly improved durability under continuous load

... Especially in high-performance setups, these features represent a significant technical advancement.

To achieve these benefits in older vehicle platforms as well, a suitable exhaust connection with sufficient cross-sectional area is essential. The 90-mm retrofit downpipe provides exactly this transition and ensures low-loss exhaust flow that is tailored to the requirements of the new turbo generation. This not only supports maximum performance but also reduces the mechanical and thermal stress on the turbocharger, which has a direct positive effect on the service life of the entire system.

The downpipe can be used with both the standard catalytic converter pipes on DAZ models and our optional 100- or 400-cell catalytic converter modules, allowing for a variety of performance, emissions, and application configurations.
