Product description:
Die EG/ECE-zugelassene 4" (101,6 mm) Downpipe von HPerformance wurde speziell für die 2.5 TFSI DAZA-Motoren entwickelt und verbindet strömungstechnische Optimierung mit OEM-naher Integration und uneingeschränkter Alltagstauglichkeit.
Kern der Entwicklung ist eine durchgängig strömungsoptimierte Geometrie, beginnend direkt am Turboladerausgang. Ein präzise ausgelegter Eingangstrichter (Inlet) sorgt für eine saubere, verlustarme Überführung der Abgase aus dem Turbinengehäuse in den 4-Zoll-Querschnitt.
Im weiteren Verlauf gewährleistet die kontinuierliche Rohrführung eine stabile Strömung ohne abrupte Querschnittsänderungen. Der integrierte 160 mm Keramik-Katalysator mit integrierter thermischer Isolierung ist strömungstechnisch optimal eingebunden und auf eine hohe Effizienz im Serienumfeld ausgelegt.
Ein speziell abgestimmter Ausgangstrichter (Outlet) hinter dem Katalysator unterstützt die gleichmäßige Expansion der Abgase und trägt zur weiteren Reduzierung von Strömungsverlusten und Gegendruck bei. Durch diese Gesamtauslegung wird der Abgasgegendruck reduziert und das thermische Verhalten des Systems verbessert, was sich positiv auf Effizienz und Ansprechverhalten auswirkt.
Ein zusätzlicher Effekt der vergrößerten, gleichmäßig geführten Rohrgeometrie ist eine deutlich veränderte Klangcharakteristik: Der 2.5 TFSI entwickelt ein dumpferes, kräftigeres und volleres Klangbild, ohne dabei unangenehm oder aufdringlich zu wirken. Die Downpipe erfüllt die Anforderungen der EG/ECE-Regelung und ist somit im öffentlichen Straßenverkehr legal einsetzbar.
Eine Anpassung der Motorsteuerung ist nicht erforderlich. Typisch HPerformance: Entwicklung mit Fokus auf reproduzierbare Ergebnisse, technische Präzision und langlebige Komponenten – ausgelegt für den anspruchsvollen Straßeneinsatz. Ohne Software-Tuning fahrbar: Diese EG/ECE-zugelassene Downpipe kann ohne Eingriff in die Motorsteuerung verbaut werden.
