After long CAD development based on 3D scans of the OEM subframe, tests with CAD FEA (finite element method) and practical tests, you can now buy branded subframes for the front of your Audi/VW/SEAT/Skoda based on the PQ35 platform. The vehicle list can be found below.

By using the same T45 tubes as in WRC vehicles, our subframes offer increased rigidity and weight reduction. All factory parts are bolted to this unit, no further modifications are required.

Advantages:

- 6 kg (13 lbs), which is 4 kg (8.8 lbs) less than the OEM subframe. That's a 40% savings!
- Second, higher control arm mounts to correct suspension kinematics for use with our tubular control arms.
- Single subframe mounting position prevents subframe from sliding under the vehicle. No subframe locking kit/deadset collar kit required (weight saving).
- Increased chassis stiffness for improved handling. No additional lower link brace required (weight saving)
- Polyurethane sway bar mount significantly reduces the forward and backward pitching of the engine, which is important for sporty driving. No additional sway bar insert or aftermarket bracket required.

T45 is a unique seamless carbon-based steel tube that is used in many applications in various industries. It is more robust than Co-Mo 4130 tubing, which is also used in motorsport. It is often used in aerospace for equipment such as pilot and crew seats as it can withstand high G-forces without breaking or splintering. The material is carbon-manganese based and meets the full aerospace specifications of British Standards.

Properties:

Tensile strength: 700-900 MPa,
0.2 % yield strength: at least 620 MPa
Hardness test: 201 min.-262 max. HB or 210 min.-275 max. HV.

Note:

 Only available for off-road, racetrack and racing applications. Fitting this product will result in additional noise, vibration and roughness being transmitted into the cabin. We strongly recommend that the subframe is fitted in a qualified and experienced workshop.

You must use a newer Gen3 steering rack. See illustration below. The old steering rack was installed in some vehicles before 2008. It is possible to replace the old steering rack with a new one. The Gen3 steering rack requires wiring harness 1K2 971 111 AJ when installed in a vehicle with a Gen1 or Gen2 steering rack. It is the customer's responsibility to check whether the modification is possible in the workshop where they wish to fit the subframe before purchasing.
