Turbosmart’s patent-pending eWG45 is a fully electronically actuated 45-mm wastegate—based on the successful, class-leading GenV HyperGate45 architecture, now with unprecedented control precision. The eWG45 HyperGate45 is a 45-mm electronic external wastegate that utilizes fully electronic control without the limitations of conventional pneumatic controls.
With Turbosmart’s GenV wastegate housing, you can be sure that the mounting orientation will match your existing manifold and exhaust components. The GenV Hypergate45 already offered class-leading flow capacity and heat dissipation properties. With Turbosmart’s patent-pending eWG actuator system, you can now also be assured of unparalleled control.
There are no springs, hoses, boost pressure reference signals, or associated limitations. Gone are the days of “minimum” boost pressure levels caused by spring pressure or heat-related hose issues. If your manifold is up to the task, you can adjust the boost pressure from zero to “full”—all via your laptop or tuning interface. The eGate series requires a dual half-bridge input for control, similar to controlling an electronic throttle body, and the strategy is as good as your imagination and your ECU or controller allow.
