By using the same T45 tubes as in WRC vehicles, our subframes offer increased rigidity and weight reduction. All factory parts are bolted to this unit, no further modifications are required.

T45 is a unique seamless carbon-based steel tube that is used in many applications in various industries. It is more robust than Co-Mo 4130 tubing, which is also used in motorsport. It is often used in aerospace for equipment such as pilot and crew seats as it can withstand high G-forces without breaking or splintering. The material is carbon-manganese based and meets the full aerospace specifications of British Standards.

You must use a newer Gen3 steering rack. See illustration below. The old steering rack was installed in some vehicles before 2008. It is possible to replace the old steering rack with a new one. The Gen3 steering rack requires wiring harness 1K2 971 111 AJ when installed in a vehicle with a Gen1 or Gen2 steering rack. Here you will find three links that may be helpful for the replacement: LINK1, LINK2 and LINK3. It is the customer's responsibility to check whether the modification is possible in the workshop where they wish to fit the subframe before purchasing.
